Led by our team of licensed psychologists and counselors who have specialized training and disability expertise, AZA United offers psychotherapy & counseling for individuals, couples and families with a unique focus in supporting autism-related needs.
Psychotherapy and counseling services are designed to be a collaborative effort between the therapist and client and/or family. Therapists help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems that cause emotional turmoil. We seek to improve communication and coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, increase resiliency, and promote behavior change and optimal mental health. AZA United’s psychotherapy and counseling program combines a number of evidence-based practices, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and adolescents, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Relationship-Based Therapies. Our services are offered face-to-face in the office or virtually using telehealth video technology.
Trauma-Informed Care:Our therapists use a trauma-informed approach that is highly sensitive to past experiences and focuses on respecting boundaries.
Psychotherapy for Teens & Adults:We support teens and adults on the autism spectrum to build coping skills, improve mental health, and achieve personal goals.
Family & Couples Therapy:We help couples and family members strengthen relationships, improve communication, and navigate challenges together.
