Little Learners – ABA for Young Children

Designed for very young learners, this ABA model features fun and engaging therapy activities to teach developmental skills through play.

For young children seeking ABA therapy, AZA United offers the Little Learners program. This model is a specialized version of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which is considered the gold standard for evidenced-based autism treatment. Designed for very young learners, this model incorporates both structured and naturalistic teaching methods to maximize learning through fun and engaging therapy activities, focusing on teaching through play with the child’s enthusiastic participation.

Program Overview
The Little Learners model is aimed at accelerating developmental trajectories and preparing children to be successful in future learning environments. A full-time ABA therapy schedule makes it possible to address a wide range of skill areas, including:

  • Language, communication & social skills
  • Problem solving, self-help & self-advocacy
  • Executive/cognitive functioning & emotional regulation
  • Self-management & challenging behaviors.

Making progress requires many teaching and learning opportunities. This model is considered “high-intensity ABA” which research has associated with greater improvements in intellectual, communication and adaptive skills (https://www.casproviders.org/evidence-intensive-early-aba).

Before starting services, our team of expert clinicians conducts an assessment to fully understand the child’s current skill levels. An individualized treatment plan is created that is unique to each child’s needs and family preferences.

AZA’s Model of Care
The Little Learners program is rooted in a child-led approach to ABA therapy. We believe learning should be enjoyable and that the child should feel empowered to make choices within their own therapy experience. Our expert clinicians are trained to provide family-centered services using a compassionate care treatment approach that respects the individuality of each learner.

In our clinics, we integrate Speech and Occupational Therapy (for those who qualify) to create a holistic and collaborative treatment approach that allows families to receive all three Early Intervention services under one roof.
