Policies and eligibility criteria for paid training:

To be eligible for paid training, you must attend the entire class and have no more than one excused absence.  An excused absence occurs when you register for a class but then notify us within 24 hours that you will not be able to attend.  Please note additional policies:

  • Once a class is completed, the raise will take effect on the first day of the following calendar month.
  • You must register in advance to attend a class.  Registration is only available on our website.
  • If you have registered but will not be able to attend, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance by emailing timesheets@AZAunited.org or calling 602-773-5773.
  • As long as you notify us of a cancellation more than 24 hours before the class, there is no penalty. You can register yourself for the next available class.
  • If you notify us of a cancellation less than 24 hours before the class, it is considered an excused absence.
  • To be eligible for paid training time, you can only have one excused absence.  This includes absences for both the Habilitation Training parts 2 and 3 classes.
  • If you do not show up for a class without notifying us in advance, it is considered an unexcused absence.  If you have any unexcused absences for either Habilitation Training part 2 or 3, you are no longer eligible for paid training time.
  • You can still register yourself and attend the next available class to meet the pay raise requirements, even if you are no longer eligible for the paid training time.
